Case 189 is likely to be an imported case involving a 36 year-old male Indian national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in India from 21 February to 1 March. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
He reported onset of symptoms on 11 March and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 12 March, and was referred to NCID on the same day. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 12 March afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (3 Temasek Ave). He stays at St George’s Road.
Case 189 has successfully recovered from the infection and has been discharged from NCID.
